Breastfeeding 101: Healthy Start class for expectant mothers, plus 1 support person, to prepare for the arrival of their new baby. This class will cover benefits of breastfeeding, mechanics of breastfeeding (such as latch, positioning, and how milk is made), how to tell your baby is getting enough to eat, understanding newborn behavior, troubleshooting common challenges, myth busting, and more. Get all of your questions answered when you attend Healthy Start Breastfeeding! We welcome you to bring a support person who will be helping you during the first few weeks after delivery, to also learn and get their questions answered, so that you can start building a strong support team at home. Typically this will be a significant other, but can be a parent/grandparent, sibling, close friend, or anyone else who will be vital to your newborn's care.
