Lisa is a New Jersey State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) who has been working in the mental health field for over 8 years. Lisa has experience working with adolescents and adults who face various challenges including: anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, low self esteem, issues related to gender identity and sexuality, issues related to having a baby in the NICU, and everyday stress. Lisa has worked extensively with adolescents and their families, however also has worked with adults of all ages.
Lisa utilizes a multi-modal approach with emphasis on mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and skills used in Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) in order to meet each person where they are and build upon already existing strengths.
Lisa is an Approved Clinical Supervisor which gives her the certification needed to provide supervision for LAC's, graduate students and interns in the counseling field. Understanding that the therapeutic process can be a vulnerable experience, Lisa's goal is to provide clients with a safe environment where they can feel empowered, validated and understood.
