Infant massage offers many benefits to a child and their family. Through gentle and relaxing strokes, infant massage encourages bonding between parent and child. Massage helps to release endorphins, which will promote better sleep and relief from daily stress. A child can also learn to calm themselves when needed. Massage helps relief discomfort from constipation, colic and trapped gas. It can help to increase circulation, aid in relief from sinus and chest congestion and re- lieve muscle tension. It also helps to tone loose muscles. During the massage process, you will be able to focus on your child through touch, eye-contact and communication, encouraging the development of cognitive skills.
Infant massage training is recommended for babies 6 weeks to pre-crawler. This three week series will take place on July 10, 17, and 24, 6:00-7:00. With the fee of $150. Space is limited to 4 babies. Please call 732-831-4801 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
