The traditional baby shower focuses on the new baby coming into the family. It’s a fun way to gather family and friends together and give gifts to welcome the baby. However, any attention on the expectant woman may typically be on how she is feeling physically and if she is ready for the baby. A Blessingway is a respectful ceremony based on ancient Native American celebrations which focuses on the woman as nurturer of new life. This free and informative hour long session will provide insight and a peek into what a Blessingway is like. It is not Voodoo, magic or witchcraft, but rather is a way to honor the expectant mother and bless her as she is about to take on this new role through affirmations and support.
